John D. McCunney, 72, of Downingtown, PA on December 7, 2017.
Born in 1944 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Richard A. and Dorothy E. (Stiles) McCunney.
He served proudly in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
John enjoyed boating, music, playing guitar and singing, fishing and cars.
He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann (nee Bonanno) McCunney; loving father of Kristen M. Hay (Kris) and Sean R. McCunney (Marie); devoted grandfather of John Tyler Hay, Justin Michael Hay, and Liam Jude McCunney; dear brother of Mary P. Smith (Carlos) and the late Richard D. and William J. McCunney.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 9:00-10:30 AM Friday, December 15, 2017 at St. Joseph Church, 332 Manor Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335 followed by his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
