John P. McGoldrick (1930-2019)
John P. McGoldrick (88) of West Chester, Pa passed away on Saturday June 22, 2019 surrounded by family.
Born in Bryn Mawr, PA in November 1930, he was the son of the late Philip and Bridget (Mularkey) McGoldrick.
John was a graduate of Haverford high school and served honorably in the United States Air Force, during the Korean War. He worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad, New Jersey transit, and was Controller of Haverford Township.
John was the beloved husband of Virginia (nee Kessler); loving father of Anne Sheridan (Joe), Maryann Fanelli (John), Joyce Herkins (David), Kevin McDonald (Betsy), Sean McDonald (Laura); devoted grandfather of Tracy Reyle, Michelle Peterson, Joseph Sheridan, Colleen O'Hara, Nicole Fanelli, Ann Marie Fanelli, Gina Fanelli, Stephanie Fanelli, Christopher Herkins, Lucas Herkins, John Herkins, William McDonald, Patrick McDonald, James McDonald, Brendan McDonald, Maggie McDonald, Seamus McDonald and Max McDonald; great-grandfather of Carson, Benjamin, Molly, Mariella, Peyton, Kira, Morgan, Emma, Anna, Brendan, Jessa, Bridget, Grace, Justin, Dylan, Ari and Hannah; dear brother of Joe and Eleanor.
He was predeceased by his brothers Thomas, Phillip, James, and sister-in-law Eileen (Joe).
John was happiest when spending time with family. Over the years, you could find him enjoying the winters in Saint Petersburg, Florida.
