John J. McGowan, 76, of Springfield, formerly of Havertown, passed away on May 23, 2015.
Born in Drexel Hill, PA he was the son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Nee Shillingford) McGowan. He served in the United States National Guard and was employed as a Fleet Operations Manager for Verizon.
John was the loving husband of Mary (nee Gallagher); loving father of Jackie Stevens (Dave), Shaun McGowan (Regina), Brian McGowan, Cathy McGowan, Mark McGowan (Maureen), Pat McGowan (Jaime) and Michael McGowan; loving grandfather of 11 grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Eileen Morris (Dick), brother-in-law Shaun Gallagher (Elaine).
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday May 28, 9:30 to 10:50 AM at St. Kevin's Church, 200 W Sproul Road, Springfield PA 19064, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
