John J. Mulhern, Jr.

John J. Mulhern, Jr., age 77, of Broomall, PA, passed away on July 13, 2024, peacefully at his home.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late John J. Mulhern, Sr. and Helen (née Najarian) Mulhern.

He was a graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School and served his country honorably in the US Army. John went on to be employed with the United States Postal Service as a Manager and Interim Postmaster in Lansdowne, PA for over 38 years. After retirement from the Post Office, he enjoyed working for 17 years with Mercedes Benz of Devon, PA. 

John was a loving and devoted husband and an exceptional father and mentor to his children. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his 4 grandchildren. John loved fishing, the Phillies, and travelled the world extensively with his wife. “Can’t find a better a man!”

John was the beloved husband of Mary (née Sweeney) Mulhern for 54 years; the loving father of John J. Mulhern, III and Lisa M. Perry (Albert); the proud grandfather of Ryan, Bear, Bryce, and Belle; and the caring brother of Chuck Mulhern and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his dear sisters, Debbie Green and Ginny Ullman, sister-in-law, Loretta Malena, brothers-in-law, Joe Malena, and Eddie Sweeney (Denise).

Services and interment are private.
