John D. Myers, Sr.

John D. Myers, Sr., age 78, of East Lansdowne, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late George and Hazel Myers (née Snyder). He was employed by the Philadelphia Zoo as a foreman.

John loved his grandchildren. He especially enjoyed Bree Bree’s softball games, Christian’s football and basketball games, and Courtney’s basketball, soccer and gymnastics. He also liked Alyssa, Johnny and Joshua’s musical performances and admired Jessica’s beautiful artwork. In addition to spending time with his grandchildren, John delighted in gardening, fishing, and singing. He was a person of faith, had a great deal of heart and kindness for those less fortunate, and he opened up his home to those in need.

John was the beloved husband of Jeanette Myers (née Moyer); loving father of John D, Jr. (Anna Marie), Steven C. (Danielle) and Stephanie L. Myers (Jack Magee); devoted grandfather of Christian, Courtney (Nick Gross), Alyssa (Robin Arnold), John L., Joshua, Brianna and Jessica; great-grandfather to Baylynne. Also survived by his five siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Monday, March 13, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082. Interment private.
