John Hemmert

John P. “Jake” Hemmert, age 73, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on June 5, 2020. He was born in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia, PA.

Jake worked in the Printing Industry at The Printer’s Union. Jake was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a Monday Night Poker Player. Jake enjoyed watching football, especially the Eagles and his sons’ teams. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Jake volunteered his time to the Clifton Heights Boys Club and the Drexel Hill Raiders. Jake was also a 40 year plus member of GCIU Local 3C.

Jake was the loving husband of the late Eileen Hemmert (nee Davis); beloved father of John Hemmert, Michael Hemmert, and Christopher Hemmert; caring grandfather of Kaitlyn Hemmert, Raegan Hemmert, Brendan Hemmert, Jake Hemmert, Luke Hemmert, and Christopher Hemmert.

Services and interment will be held at a later date.
