Emblem

John Patrick Ford passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 22, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Bridget McFadden, and his remaining children, John, Michael, Thomas, Theresa and the late William Ford, in addition to his twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Born to Irish Immigrants, Mary Margaret Fallon and John Patrick Ford, and raised in Philadelphia, Jack, as his family and close friends knew him, was a proud alum of St. Thomas Moore High School, where he devoutly embraced his Catholic roots and Irish heritage. After serving his country in the United States army during the Korean Conflict, he returned home where he found the love of his life, Theresa Bridget McFadden. In the Overbrook section of Philadelphia, they began a beautiful relationship characterized by love, family, commitment, support, humor, and respect for each other. Together, they built a home that was never empty or too full, for Jack believed there was always room at his table.

Within his community, Jack forged a reputation as a friend, father figure, coach, cheesesteak maker, Irish scone baker and cherished neighbor. A true Jack of all trades, he was the glue that kept the family together, and his encouragement and zeal for life has inspired multiple generations. He was a tireless, hardworking man who never sat still until it was time to jump in his recliner and watch his Philadelphia sports teams. Jack spent his life selflessly providing everything he could for anyone who was in need; advice, a driver, a bed, an ear to listen, a light-hearted smile or a Sunday breakfast. In addition to an adoring family, he leaves behind in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and loyal friends who loved and admired him deeply.

We extend our gratitude to you for your love, support, kind words, and prayers during this period. The cherished memories we hold of our beloved father will serve as a light for us through these trying times.

We would also like to express our deepest appreciation to the exceptional staff at Brandywine Suites in East Norriton. Their dedication and willingness to go the extra mile in assisting our father have left us great memories in our hearts. Their efforts have not gone unnoticed, and we are forever grateful for their exceptional care of our Dad.
