John Penders

John "Jack" Patrick Penders age 72, of Rose Valley, PA and formerly of the Pine Ridge section of Media, PA, passed away on June 2,2014.Beloved husband of Sandra Ruth Craig. Loving father of Jonathan(Brooke) of Swarthmore, PA, Suzanne of Bridgeport, PA, and Gregory Penders of CA. Devoted grandfather of Max and Theo. Dear brother of Dr. Thomas (Susanne) and Jerry (Mina) Penders. Jack was a graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School, LaSalle University(1964), and Rutgers University Law School(1967).He served his country in The United States Army, earning the rank of Captain. He worked for the law firm of Marshall Dennehey in Philadelphia from 1967 to 2006.He then served as Judge pro tem at the Dispute Resolution Center, Court of Common Pleas, Philadelphia County. He was a mediator and arbitrator with ADR Options in Philadelphia. Recognized as a "Super Lawyer" in Philadelphia Magazine (2001-2006) and appeared in Best Lawyers of America in 2006. Jack was also selected into membership of American Board of Trial Advocates in 1989.He was a member of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania , and American Bar Associations. Of all his accomplishments Jack was most proud of his wife , children, and two grandsons. Relatives and friends are invited to Jack's Life Celebration on Friday, June 6, 2014 from 4 PM to 7 PM, and Saturday , June 7,2014 from 9 to 10:30 AM in James F. Knoetgen of Morton, PA, 746 Kedron Ave(Route 420), Morton, PA 19070. Interment private. In lieu of flowers a donation in Jack's name may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
