A hardworking and dependable individual, John enjoyed a successful career as a CFO, demonstrating resilience and a commitment to excellence throughout his professional journey.
John's passion for gardening and landscaping served as a reflection of his nurturing spirit. He found joy in cultivating beauty around him and often shared that joy with his loved ones. While living in Hershey's Mill, he enjoyed working in the wood shop and learned how to make beautiful wooden bowls for family members. A lover of life's finer things, he delighted in a good martini, a medium rare steak, and the rich flavors of a Lobster.
Music brought him joy with Patsy Cline and Linda Ronstadt's melodies often providing the soundtrack to his life.
Family was the center of John's universe. He was a proud father to John Jr., Christopher, Matthew, and Elizabeth and he cherished each moment spent with his nine grandchildren, Jack, James, Chase, Aaron, Ashley, Sam, Scarlett, Seraphina and Peyton. His legacy is one of love and dedication, having given his children a richer life then his own.
John was known to love sports particularly baseball and football. An ardent fan of the Phillies and the Eagles. He also enjoyed watching shows like "Dallas" and Andy Rooney on "60 minutes".
Christmas Eve was a special time for the Poling family, where John and his wife, Carol, would humorously attempt to read "Twas the Night Before Christmas", often devolving into a delightful mix of laughter and joyful randomness.
A devout Catholic, John was involved in various community organizations, the Great Valley Little League and Sts. Peter and Paul Church holding special places in his heart.
John is survived by his siblings, Patricia Cheesman and Stanley Poling, who will cherish his memory along with John's wife, Carol, children, grandchildren, relatives and friends.
