John Reif, Sr.

John J. Reif, Sr., age 80, of Glen Mills, PA, formerly of Clifton Heights, PA, passed away on February 18, 2018. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Albert and Marie Reif (nee McElroy).
John served in the United States Navy from 1956-1960 on the USS Independence Aircraft Carrier CV-62. He was employed as a police officer for Clifton Heights Police Department for 26 years and was a lifetime member of the F.O.P. He was also a lifetime member of Clifton Heights Fire Department.
John enjoyed spending time with his family and loved to travel.
John was predeceased by his loving son, Michael Reif and his brother James P. Reif. John is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia J. Reif (nee Droxler), his loving children John J. Reif, Jr. (Karin), James Reif (Florence) and Donna Hughes (Paul) and his grandchildren Brittany, Chelsea, Domenic, Elizabeth, Jackson, Michael, Justin and Thomas. He is also survived by his brother Albert V. Reif (the late Esther).
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Monday, February 26, 2018 8:30 AM-11:00 AM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to Taylor Hospice, 175 E. Chester Pike, Ridley Park, PA 19078 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 would be appreciated.
