John Sarsfield

John Patrick Sarsfield (Jack), husband to Patricia Jones (deceased), brother to Rita Driscoll (deceased) and Peggy Kennedy, beloved father of Mike Sarsfield and wife Denise and Mary Ellen Sarsfield, grandfather to Andrea Sarsfield-Fischer and Brian, Colleen Joyce and Jim, Walter Ferris and Kelley, great-grandfather to six great-grandchildren and uncle to several nieces and nephews, passed away on July 5, 2015.



Jack was a retired Philadelphia, PA policeman with the 16th Precinct located on 39th and Lancaster Avenue.



Jack served his country with the United States Navy during World War II on the USS John R. Pierce Destroyer (DD-753). The crew members were the first Americans to enter Hiroshima after the atomic bomb attack.



Jack was also an active member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 5, and the American Legion Police Post 937.

Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
