Shea, John J., age 90, passed away on January 13, 2015.
Jack was raised in Collingdale and was a 27 year resident of Ridley township. He was the son of the late Martin J. and Mary B. Shea. Jack was a 1949 graduate of St. Joseph University. He was employed with Dupont Chemical as a supervisor.
Jack served honorably as a paratrooper in the 17th Airborne in WWII. He was a 4th degree knight with the Knights of Columbus Peace Council.
Jack was the loving father of Pam Priestly (Bill), Eileen Driadon (Bill), Karen Sullivan (Gary), Jackie Brown (Ken), and Kevin Shea (Karen) and the dear brother of Margie, Joan, Ree, Geraldine, Donald, and Terrence Shea. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Jack is now reunited with his loving wife of 59 years, Jean Ruth.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service at 10:30a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2015 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 2835 Manor Road, Coatesville, PA 19320. Interment at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to The Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market St, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106 would be greatly appreciated.
