John "Sonny" S. Caratello

John S. “Sonny” Caratello, 85, of Crum Lynne, PA passed away on April 11, 2023. He was the son of the late John & Rose (nee Riccardi) Caratello. His siblings were Vincent, Joseph, Philomena Trice, Rosemary Palmer & Elizabeth Rodes (all predeceased). Sonny was also predeceased by his grandson Jason.

Sonny was a graduate of Chester High School and worked as a commercial truck driver for Sun Oil for 35 years. He loved working in his garden, hunting, playing cards with his friends, fishing, crabbing and trips to the NJ shore. Sonny also enjoyed watching the Phillies and horse-racing. He was a longtime member of St. Rose of Lima Church in Eddystone.

Sonny is survived by his beloved wife Marguerite (nee Tyrrell) Caratello, his loving children John Caratello, Kimberly Broomall (Harry), Anthony Caratello & Christine Betzala (Joe), his adoring grandchildren Jessica, John, Jennifer, Joshua, Amanda, Anthony, Andrew, Matthew & Justin, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.

Family and friends are invited to his Visitation on Tuesday April 18^th from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at The Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home 746 Kedron Ave. Morton, PA 19070 and then to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on April 19^th  at St. Rose of Lima Church 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, PA 19022  Int: SS Peter & Paul Cemetery
