John G. Sontag, 76, of Downingtown, PA passed away on March 8, 2019 while vacationing in Bradenton Beach, FL.
Born in Bryn Mawr, PA in 1942, he was the son of the late Jacob and Mary Eleanor (McCleary) Sontag.
He was the beloved husband of Mary Anne (Mooney) Sontag; loving father of John, Jr. (Maria), Michael (Elizabeth) and Christopher (Susanne); devoted grandfather of 8 grandchildren, Catherine, Christina, Kimberly, Samantha, Steven, Alyssa, Andrew and Benjamin; and dear brother of Eleanor Smith (Joseph).
John worked as a Marketing Director in the Pharmaceutical industry.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet his family 9:15-10:15 AM Saturday, March 16, 2019 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 W. Lancaster Ave, Downingtown, PA, 610-269-3080 and to his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Church, 100 Fellowship Rd, Chester Springs, PA 19425. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
