John Trahey, Sr.

John P. Trahey, Sr., age 85, a 53 year resident of Newtown Square, PA, passed away on August 21, 2013. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Jane Trahey. John served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a proud member of Operating Engineers Local 542 in Plymouth Meeting for 41 years. He retired in 1990.



He is survived by his wife Gladys M. Trahey (nee Muth), his children John (Karen), Michael (Nancy), Patrick (Linda), Timothy (Kimberly), Colleen (Daniel) Raftery, Kevin (Amy) and Kathleen (Collin) Frisbie, his brother Gerald Trahey, 21 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and his dear friend Tom Kerrigan.



Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Saturday, August 24, 2013 8:00-10:30 AM The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA (610) 353-6300 followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square. Interment will follow in SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.



In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
