John M.D.

John W., M.D., age 94, of Drexel Hill and Penn Lake, White Haven, PA, passed away on October 20, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Jeanne Fitzmaurice (nee Grant). Loving father of John W. Jr., (Doreen), Kathy Bonner (Jim), Michael (Heidi), Gail Sinnott (Dan) and Sharon Fitzmaurice. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Brother of the late Mary Scully, Robert Fitzmaurice and Rev. Msgr. Francis J. Fitzmaurice. Dr. Fitzmaurice was a 1936 graduate of West Catholic Boys High School, a 1940 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and a 1944 graduate of Georgetown School of Medicine. He served on the staff at Misericordia Hospital, Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital and Riddle Memorial Hospital. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was an honorary Christian Brother.
