Joseph Patrick Boyle

Joseph P. Boyle, age 86, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on August 26, 2023. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Edward and Mary Ellen Boyle.

Joseph was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Boys in 1955. After high school he proudly served in the United States Army. He also started and ran a successful logistics company for 37 years, JP Boyle Trucking Company, which specializes in the transportation and distribution of printed material.

Joseph enjoyed golfing, singing Irish songs, watching the Phillies, West Catholic lunches, and especially being surrounded by his family. He loved spending time in Sea Isle and golfing at Avalon Golf Club. Joseph had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother, Father Bill Atkinson, and praying the Rosary.

Joseph was the beloved husband of Dorothy Ann “Dotsie” Boyle (nee Coll); loving father of Joseph P. Boyle (Kerry), MaryAgnes Boyle (the late Thomas Wolfarth), Michael E. Boyle (April), Anthony M. Boyle, Patrick F. Boyle (Kelly), and Brigid V. Roulston (Gary); adoring grandfather of Colleen, Joseph P. III, Mary Clare, Erin, Tyler, Ivan, Victoria, Vienna, and Ryan. Also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings James Boyle, Edward Boyle, Daniel Boyle, and Mary Boyle

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing 9:00-10:45 AM on Friday, September 1, 2023 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, followed by his Funeral Mass 11:30 AM at St. Bernadette of Lourdes Church, 1035 Turner Ave, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
