Joseph Thomas Coppola, age 54, of Wayne, PA, passed away on December 27, 2017. Born in Daytona Beach, FL, he was the son of Joseph R. and Margaret A. Coppola. Mr. Coppola received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Valparaiso University in 1985 and his M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in 1992.
He was the Chief Operating Officer of Knoll, Inc. from June, 2015 until the present. At Knoll, Inc., Mr. Coppola was responsible for all of Knoll's supply chain activities, including manufacturing, global sourcing, logistics, quality and environmental health and safety. Prior to joining Knoll, Mr. Coppola was the Vice President, Global Supply Chain at Boart Longyear, an international provider of mineral exploration drilling services and drilling products, he held senior supply chain roles with the Mechanical Systems and Airframe Systems units of Honeywell International, Inc. He also served in operations and manufacturing roles with Eaton Corporation and Norfolk Southern Corporation.
Mr. Coppola loved to spend time travelling with his family, enjoyed golf, a true believer in Notre Dame football and tinkering with new technology products. Mr. Coppola was a member of St. Thomas of Villanova Church and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Utah.
In addition to his parents, Joseph is survived by his beloved wife, Tammie Deese Coppola, his loving daughters Isabella (Bella) and Mia Coppola, his brother and sister-in-law Richard and Debbie Coppola, his sister and brother-in-law Susan and Scott Lamb, his sister Judy Coppola, his brother John Coppola and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Larry and Susan Deese. He is also survived by his nine nieces and nephews Francesca Coppola, Andrew Lamb, Adam Lamb, Ashlyn Lamb, Connor Hamblett, Cameron Hamblett, Marcia Deese Aho, Rodney Deese and Taylor Ash.
