Joseph M. Corr of Newtown Square, PA, passed away suddenly on January 20, 2016 at the age of 75. He was the devoted husband of Janet Hullick Corr, beloved father of Pamela (Chris) Stewart and Alexis (Evan) Davis, and "Grandad" to Lucy, Buddy, Joe and Piper Stewart; and Sophie, Cece, Michael and Lila Davis.
Born in Philadelphia, Joseph was the son of the late John A. and Helen Fallon Corr. Brother of Paul (Mary) Corr, Dr. Gerald (Christina) Corr, Grace Corr Haenn, Jeanne (Hon. Thomas) O'Neill, Ann (Torr) Potterton and the late Martin (Mary Lee) Corr, as well as Uncle Joe to many nephews and nieces.
"Joe" graduated St. Joseph's Preparatory School '58, Holy Cross College '62, Princeton University (Masters Aeronautical Engineering, '64) and Temple University School of Law '67.
He was a respected and accomplished athlete, scholar, lawyer, colleague, and business owner. After practicing law for several years at Boeing, Kilwanee, and Certainteed, Joe started a new chapter in his professional life as a venture capitalist and business owner of several successful companies.
Joe was committed to his faith and community, volunteering for several organizations and serving as a Board member for Our Mother of Sorrows/St. Ignatius School; St Mary Magdalen Charity Board, SJP...Men for Others, and the GESU School.
Always a kind smile and a joke in hand, Joe's interests ranged from football and golf, to Florida time with his wife and soulmate, Janet, and a good ole' cigar with friends and family far and wide.
