Joseph J. Cox, Sr., age 96, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on January 29, 2014. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph W. and Josephine M. Cox (nee Lonergan).
Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II where he served in the Pacific Theatre. He was a retired postal employee with the U.S. Post Office. Mr. Cox was an active participant in parish life at St. Dorothy Church. He was a member of the Altar Society and enjoyed working in the different areas of that group.
Survivors: Children Joseph J. (Dale) Cox, Jr. and Eileen (John) Healy, grandchildren Karen and Katie Santoro, Jennifer, Joseph, Molly and Caroline Cox and Christopher and Erin Healy, Great-grandchild Madelyn Keely Cox and his brother William E. Cox. He was predeceased by his wife Dulcie M. Cox (nee Wilkinson) and his daughter Patricia Santoro.
