Joseph A. Dellar, 79, of West Chester, PA and formerly of Ardmore, PA passed away on March 4, 2014.
Born in Bryn Mawr, PA in 1935, Joseph was the son of the late Rose DiFuria and Anthony Dellar.
He was a 1953 graduate of Haverford High School and a 1957 graduate of Villanova University. He was an avid Villanova basketball fan.
Joseph served proudly and honorably in the US Army.
He was a Builder in the Chester County area and he, and his business, Dellar & Sons, took pride in their customer service.
He enjoyed being with his family and friends, traveling and Philadelphia sports.
Joseph was the beloved husband of Virginia "Ginny" T. (Klein) Dellar, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage; loving father of Kathleen M. Lamont (James), Robert J. Dellar and John T. Dellar; loving grandfather of Thomas, Michael and Andrew; dear brother of Rose Massucci.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing 9:00-11:30 AM Monday at the Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000 and to his Funeral Mass 12:00 noon at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct., West Chester, PA. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
