Joseph Dunleavy

Joseph K. Dunleavy, age 65, of Boyertown, PA, passed away on April 6, 2016.



Born in Darby, PA to the late Joseph C. and Anne R. (nee Roselli) Dunleavy, Joseph was a graduate of Msgr. Bonner High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force, retiring in 1994 after 20 years of service. He then worked as an Environmental Compliance Manager for the New Jersey Department of Military and Veteran's Affairs.



In addition to his love of his family, friends and puppies, Mr. Dunleavy enjoyed model trains, gardening, skiing, scuba diving, bee keeping, reading, traveling and photography. He was also a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Mt. Holly, N.J.



Joseph is survived by his loving wife Joanne H. (nee Reid), his beloved children Monica Yost and Brian Dunleavy (Kristin) and his siblings Joanne T. Moss, Celeste M. Carosella and Michael J. Dunleavy (Alice M.). Also survived by his nieces and nephews and was predeceased by his nephew Reynolds Smith, III.



Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Wednesday evening from 7:00-9:00 PM and Thursday from 9:00-10:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082 (610) 449-0300 followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby. Interment Private.



In lieu of flowers, contributions to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 would be appreciated.
