Joseph Fullem, Jr.

January 23, 1938 — April 10, 2020

Joseph W. Fullem, Jr. of Devon, PA passed away at the age of 82 on April 10, 2020.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda (Keogh) Fullem, children Jennifer Fullem, Lisa Dowson (Eric), Laura Joram (Philip) and Peter Fullem (Amy), step children Christopher Keogh (Bonnie) and Michael Keogh (Lindsay) and several grandchildren.  His first wife, Nancy Zoller Fullem, predeceased him.

Joe was a graduate of West Catholic High School ('55), the University of Notre Dame ('59) and Villanova Law School ('62).  He began his practice of law with the firm Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg and later with the firm of Kittredge, Donley, Elson, Fullem & Embick which merged with Clark Hill.  He specialized in litigation, primarily insurance defense representation.  He was a superb and well respected defense attorney. Joe was consistently a gentleman, both fair and reasonable in resolving disputes, although he could not tolerate claims that he thought were falsely exaggerated or had no legal basis.  In addition to his trial skills, he was an adjunct Professor of Law at the Beasley School of Law, Master of Trial Advocacy Program.  He was a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations, the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel and several other legal organizations.

A longtime member of Waynesborough Country Club as an avid golfer, his spirit and uncanny repartee will be missed by those who loved him as well as all of those who knew him as an outstanding lawyer and dedicated friend.  From the time he was young, Joe enjoyed spending time on Long Beach Island where he had many friends.

Due to the COVID-19 virus, internment will be private with a Memorial Service scheduled later this summer.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated by Main Line Adult Daycare, 119 Radnor St., Bryn Mawr, PA 19010
