Joseph Horiel

Joseph E. Horiel, age 82, of Drexel Hill, PA passed away on January 3, 2014. Born in Drexel Hill, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Horiel (nee Chepak). He was the beloved husband of the late Rosemary E. Horiel (nee Travis) and the loving father of Mary Ellen McCullough (Dan) of Parkside, PA, Debra Ann Anderson (Bob) of Parkside, PA, Donna Horiel of Drexel Hill, PA and Joseph Horiel (Catherine) of Drexel Hill, PA. Also survived by his grandchildren, Shana, Nicholas, Kristina, Leif and Catherine Anne, his brother Robert Horiel of Drexel Hill, sisters-in-law Joan, Cass and Carmella Horiel and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Ann Rafter, and his brothers Frank, Jack and Thomas Horiel. Joseph served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed as a landscaper with J.H & Son in Drexel Hill for 25 years. He retired in 2012.



Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Thursday, January 9 from 6:00-8:00 PM and Friday, January 10 from 9:00-10:50 AM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.) Upper Darby (610) 449-0300 and to his Memorial Service 11:00 AM. Interment private.
