Joseph F. Marra

Joseph F. Marra, age 90, of Folsom, PA, passed away on May 8, 2023.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph F., Sr. and Mary (née Rogers) Marra.

Joe began his young adult life serving 4 years in the Navy and after coming home found the love of baseball to keep him busy. He played for many years on various teams and almost for our Phillies. Joe loved being on the golf course with his friends and family. He was an avid sports fan but was most happy watching his children/grandchildren’s activities. Joe also loved watching western movies, reading and had a wonderful sense of humor. What Joe loved the most though was spending time with his family, whether it be down the shore or getting together for a family dinner. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Joseph was the beloved husband of Carol A. (nee Viscidy) Marra; the loving father of Debbie Lazowick and Jeffrey Marra (Karyn); the proud grandfather of Matthew, Jaymi, Nicholas, and Marissa.  He is also survived by his sister, Catherine O’Neill, close family members, Dr. Daniel Lazowick & Paul Udovich and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing, Monday evening, May 15, 2023, 6:30 – 9:00 PM and on Tuesday morning, May 16, 2023, 9:30 - 10:30 AM at The Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Avenue, Morton, PA  19070, 610-544-0600, followed by his Funeral Mass, 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 2130 Franklin Avenue, Morton, PA 19070.  Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
