Joseph E. McCarey, age 92, of the Overbrook Park section of Philadelphia, PA passed away on April 25, 2015. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Edward and Mary Ellen McCarey (nee Carr).
Mr. McCarey was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and served during World War II. He was employed as an Operating Engineer with Local 542 in Philadelphia for over 30 years. He retired in 1993.
He was the beloved husband of the late Thelma McCarey (nee Sadler), loving father of Michael J. McCarey and the dear grandfather of Michael K. McCarey.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday, 9:30-10:20 AM St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
