Joseph Godfrey McGuire

Joseph Godfrey McGuire, Sr., 87, of West Chester, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at the Wayne Center.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patricia (née Litle); his children, Joseph Godfrey McGuire. Jr. (Pamela) of Foxborough, MA and Erin Patricia McGuire McMeekin (John) of Bryn Mawr, PA. He was happy to be a grandfather to Meghan, Abby, Aidan and Kenna; and great-grandfather to Emery.

Joe was born to James and Mary McGuire on May 6, 1935, in Philadelphia, PA and was the youngest of 13 children.

He joined the U.S. Army at the end of the Korean War and was a communications specialist. He was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where he trained to be an electrical engineer. He joined GE Aerospace after college, and continued to work there for his entire career. Joe enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his friends and family.
