Joseph Miley, Sr.

Joseph A. Miley, Sr. of West Chester, PA passed away on January 1, 2014 at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester. He was 79 years of age.
Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1934, Joseph was the son of Elmer E. Miley and Marie Hanley Miley, both deceased.
He was a 1953 graduate of Lower Merion High School. He served honorably in the US Army from 1957 to 1959, stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington.
He was retired from Ruggieri's General Sales Company in West Chester, having previously worked for many years at Raymond P. Scott in Wynnewood, PA.
He enjoyed spending time at the Jersey shore with family and dear friends.
Joseph was the beloved husband of Maryellen "Judy" (Norton) Miley, with whom he shared 49 years of marriage; loving father of Joseph A. Miley, Jr. of West Chester, Michael L. Miley (Jennifer) of West Chester and Lauren E. Miley of Ocean City, NJ; proud grandfather of Mia N. Miley and Alyssa C. Miley.
He was predeceased by his brothers William F. Miley and Robert E. Miley, both of West Chester, his sister-in-law, Rita K. Miley and niece, Barbara (Miley) Copes.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing 9:30-11:00 AM Monday, January 6, 2014 at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct, West Chester followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester, PA.
