Joseph Palmer

Joseph L. "Joe" Palmer, 85, of Glenolden, Pa passed away on July 7, 2017 at home. He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth "Betty" (nee Egolf )Palmer and the son of the late Charles and Agnes (nee McIntyre) Palmer. He was also predeceased by 5 siblings.



Joe served with the Army National Guard. He worked as a truck driver for Wawa Dairy and Gordon Davis , and later was a crossing guard for Darby Township for many years. Joe was a devoted Catholic serving as an usher at St. Joseph Church in Collingdale, and was known for telling jokes.



He is survived by his loving children Betty Anne Narbutis (Stephen), Marge Hemphill (Bob), Joseph L. Palmer, Jr. and Patty Servera, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and his sister Rose Hiddeman. His primary caregivers were his children Joseph and Patty.



Relatives and friends are invited to Joe's viewing from 8:30 -10:15 A.M. on Tuesday, July 11, at Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Ave. Morton, Pa 19070, followed by his 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church 500 Woodlawn Ave. Collingdale, Pa 19023. Internment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery
