Joseph E. Sheller

Joseph Edward Sheller, a devoted father, son, and brother, passed away suddenly in his home on Saturday, June 24th . He was 52 years old. 

Joe was born on May 3, 1971 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He graduated from East High School in 1990 and went on to study at Wesley College in Delaware, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1994.

There were few things in life that Joe loved more than his Philadelphia sports teams (notably the Sixers, Eagles, Gritty, and Villanova basketball), the TV character Alf, and most especially his daughters, Anna and Ellie (and their dogs, Bella and Lila). He celebrated the girls’ graduations this spring: Anna’s from college and Ellie’s from high school. He was a wonderful, loving father to his girls and was incredibly proud of their accomplishments. And for all who knew him, Joe had a reputation for being a gentle giant: a nice guy, very well-liked, kind, and polite. 

Joe's lifelong passion was cars, and he built his career around that interest. For nearly 15 years, he called Land Rover of the Main Line his home away from home. He loved his job there and truly valued the relationships he formed with his colleagues and clients alike. 

Joe is survived by his mother Natalie McCool (Gary McCool), his daughters Anna Sheller and Ellie Sheller, his sisters Jennifer Sheller (Laird Hansberger) and Christine Sheller (Johnpaul Golaski), his ex-wife and good friend Kim Sheller Keevan (Cliff Keevan), and his girlfriend Jennifer Wynne. 

He was preceded in death by his father (Edward Sheller) and his grandparents (Edward and Genevive Sheller, Mary and Joseph DiFelice). 

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, June 30, 2023 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.
