Joseph Tallant, Jr.

Mr. Joseph L. Tallant, Jr., age 76, of Secane, PA, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on May 13, 2013 at Taylor Hospital. Born in Upper Darby, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph L. and Mary Tallent (nee O'Rourke). He was a graduate of West Catholic Boys High School and attended Villanova University. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He was employed as an Air Traffic Controller at the Philadelphia International Airport. He retired in November, 1978. He was a past Grand Knight of the Ave Maria Council 4063 and a 4th Degree member of the Cardinal Dougherty Assembly.



Mr. Tallant is survived by his children Frances Tallant, Barbara Tallant, V.M.D., Thereso Borio (James), Maureen McGrogan (Mark Hennelly), Joseph L. Tallant, III (Kelly), 7 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, and his sisters Norma McElroy and Mary Rafter. He was predeceased by his wife Josephine F. Tallant (nee Rogers), his son Charles P. Tallant and his sisters Elaine White and Barbara Tallant.
