Joseph P. "Joe" Van Haute

Joseph P. “Joe” Van Haute, age 56, of Oxford, PA, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2022. 

Born in Darby, PA, on March 16, 1966.  He was the beloved son of Betty (née O’Brien) Van Haute and the late Allen M. Van Haute.

Joe was the loving father of Nicole Van Haute, Voorhees, NJ ; dear brother of Paul Van Haute (Donna) Eatonton, GA , Liz Osifchok (John) Havertown, PA, Mary Collies (Dave) Warrington, PA, John Van Haute (Gia) Washington, NJ, Patty Ranonis (John) Bear, DE and Terri Stilo (Rich) Oxford, PA.  He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Desiree Van Haute (Max), Kiersten Van Haute, Cooper Archebelle, Jessie Archebelle, Nicklaus Collies, Paige Van Haute, Carli Van Haute, J.P. Ranonis, Andrew Ranonis and Caroline Ranonis. 

Joe is a 1984 graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School. Joe was a proud member of Philadelphia Local 14.  Joe enjoyed hanging out with friends at local Delco establishments and sharing quips about politics, racing and always ready and willing to help a friend in need. Joe could often be found driving or picking up a neighbor at the apartment complex or attending a meeting at the union hall. Joe was easy to talk to and loved to share life tips with his nieces and nephews. 

Joe’s family would like to thank the wonderful nurses from Caring Hospice especially Irene and Sandy and nursing assistant Noah for maintaining Joe’s dignity and providing comfort in his final days. Joe’s family would also like to thank the countless friends, family and Union buddies that called, texted and visited Joe during his illness. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, Saturday, September 17, 2022, 9:00 to 11:00 AM at St. Bernadette Church, 1035 Turner Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA  19026, followed by his Funeral Mass, 11:00 AM.  Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
