Josephine A. "Jo" Godard

Josephine A. “Jo” Godard (nee Gentile), age 86, of Glenolden, PA, passed away peacefully at home on March 4, 2022. Born in Wilmington, DE, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Sara Gentile (nee Sciulli).

Jo loved walks on the beach, being on her father’s boat, and country line dancing. She enjoyed traveling to Italy, cooking, and being involved with her husband’s softball teams. She worked for 35 years at West Park Hospital in telecommunications and was a graduate of West Catholic High School in 1954 as a green ribbon girl.

Jo was the beloved wife of the late Roy J. Godard, Sr.; loving mother of Roy J. Godard, Jr. and Susan Sawicki; adoring grandmother of Samantha Sawicki; caring sister of Anita Wood (the late Gerald).

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 7:00-9:00 PM on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073 and to her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive, Secane, PA 19018. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
