Josephine Higgins

Josephine R. “Betty” Higgins (nee Considine), age 96, of Lancaster, PA, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on July 15, 2021.

Betty loved playing bingo, crocheting, going to the Atlantic City Casinos “777”, and playing the lottery.  She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the St. Andrew Seniors Group.

Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband, Louis W. Higgins, her brother Joseph B. Considine and her granddaughter Heather Ann Higgins.

She is survived by her loving children Louis J. Higgins (Gayle), Robert L. Higgins (Kathleen), Joanne M. Higgins, Gene J. Higgins (Debra), Ronald W. Higgins and William T. Higgins (Michele).  Also survived by her 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and her sister, Sr. Patricia Considine, I.H.M.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Tuesday, July 20, 2021, 9:30-10:30 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (Cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 3500 School Lane, Drexel Hill, PA.   Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
