Juanita Warren

January 4, 1931 — December 2, 2017

Juanita R. Warren (nee Harris), 86, of West Brandywine, passed away on December 2, 2017.

"Nita" was born January 4, 1931 in East St. Louis, IL to the late Sidney & Helen (nee Viola) Harris. Predeceased by her sister Wanda Mattea and survived by her husband, of 63 years, Clarence "Bill" W. Warren, their sons Gary W. Warren (Kathy) and Randall A. Warren (Vicki), her sister Wilma Fortner, as well as her 5 grandchildren; Michelle, Gregory, Mitchell, Austin and Brenna.

Juanita was raised in Caseyville, IL during WWII on a farm with chickens, pigs and various crops during times of rationing. In 1949 she graduated from Collinsville High School, in Collinsville, IL, and went on to marry her husband Bill on February 12, 1954 at Edgemont Bible Church in Edgemont, IL. Juanita worked for the Illinois Power Company for 3 years. Her and her husband moved from Illinois to Cincinnati and then to New Jersey before settling down in Wilmington DE in 1964, where they raised their family for 30 years. She then went on to volunteer at Faith Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, teaching Sunday school for about a decade.

In 1990 Bill and Nita wanted to be closer to their children and growing amount of grandchildren, so they moved to Downingtown, PA, where they both became members of Calvary Fellowship Church. In addition to being a loving mother and grandmother Nita also devoted herself to her elderly mother, Helen, whom she took care of for many years.

As her youngest grandchild Brenna states, "One of the most amazing things about Grandma was that she was a light for Christ. She was a prayer warrior, and exuded God's love for everyone she came in contact with. She loved you Dad, and Uncle Gary endlessly. She loved all of us grandkids endlessly. I am so thankful that she lived such an amazing life. I love to thank God that she raised you to be the Dad you are today. I know that she is currently in the overwhelming and glorious presence of God. He called her home and the angels are celebrating now that she is reunited with Him in Heaven."
