Judith Ann McClelland

Judith Ann McClelland (nee Donatelli), age 82, of Newtown Square PA, passed away peacefully and went to be with her Lord and Savior, on September 1, 2022.

Born in Charlotte, Mechlenberg County, North Carolina , in 1939, she was the daughter of the late Eunice (nee Warren) and Louis Donatelli .

Judith was the beloved wife of Walter McClelland; the loving mother of Jerry Maffei, Karen Maffei (Steven Hornblower), and Anita Maffei (Scott Bolton).  Stepmother to Kevin McClelland (Heidi), and Rebecca Mesa (Greg). Judith was a caring grandmother to ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Judith graduated from Upper Darby High School in 1958 and attended New York School of Interior Design.

Judith was co-owner of The McClelland Agency, where she worked as commercial insurance manager until her retirement in 2018.

Judith enjoyed The Arts, interior design, sketching, writing, reading, fashion, watching movies, walking beaches collecting shells, and cooking her favorite meals for her family.

Judith’s beauty, glamour, courage, thoughtfulness, and generosity were undeniable. Her funny adventurous life stories were captivating, and will be sorely missed by all. She bravely battled with a lengthy chronic illness and never showed signs of defeat. There will forever be a huge hole in our family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks, in Judith’s honor, that you donate to the Spruce Street Baptist Church, 3701 Gradyville Road, Newtown Square., PA 19073.

Services and interment will be held privately.
