Karen Leary

Karen M. Leary (nee Plover), loving wife and mother of three children, passed away peacefully in her Downingtown home on Friday, October 1st, 2021 at the age of 60 after a courageous two year battle with ovarian cancer.

Karen was born on May 16th, 1961 in Philadelphia to Carol and Jack Plover. Raised in Swarthmore, PA, she attended Notre Dame de Lourdes Elementary and Cardinal O’Hara High School. On July 9th, 1983, she married the love of her life, Ronald Leary, with whom she spent 38 blissful years. The two of them moved to West Chester, PA in 1986 and raised three beautiful children, Ryan, Kevin and Jennifer. She is also survived by her sister Terry Plover Farrell.

Karen devoted her life to family. She selflessly loved nothing more than taking care of her family, especially watching her children play sports. She also enjoyed taking trips to the beach, reading, spending time with great friends, and working out at her kettlebell gym. She will forever be remembered for her kind heart, her infectious smile, and her warm and compassionate spirit.
