Karen Pridham

July 27, 1956 — March 19, 2019

Karen C. Pridham (nee Sparklin), 62, of Elverson, PA, formerly of West Bradford Township, PA, passed away on March 19, 2019.

Born in Chester, PA in 1956, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret (nee Cook) Sparklin.

Karen was loving, caring, protective, and fiercely loyal to her family, friends, and causes for which she cared about.

She was an excellent cook and prepared lavish meals at Thanksgiving and Christmas with her specialty mushroom soup and competition winning cheesecake. Karen loved to travel to many places, including Australia and Canada, but her favorite spot was Cape May where she would stay with an ocean view and sit listening to the waves.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and always dressed them in the best and smartest clothes. Karen will be remembered as a loving mom, an adventurous, fun-loving best friend, and simply the best wife and partner any man could wish for. She was dearly loved by her family and will be sorely missed.

Karen was the beloved wife of Ronald G. Pridham; loving mother of Brielle N. Thompson, Nathan R. Pridham, and step-mother of Genevieve L. Pridham (Stuart); adoring grandmother of Ayrton and Isabelle Pridham; dear sister of Virginia Simcic and the late Paul Sparklin; also survived by her longtime friend, Sharon Strouth (Kenny).

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 1-2 PM Saturday, March 30, 2019, at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000 followed by her Memorial Service at 2 PM. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103, or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 555 Croton Road, Suite 111, King of Prussia, PA 19406, would be appreciated.
