Karlton Hickey, Sr.

Karlton James Hickey, Sr. age 97 of Broomall, PA passed away on Thursday, February 8th, 2018 in his home of 64 years.
Born in Palmyra, NY in 1920, he was the son of the late Patrick (Patsy) and Anna Mae Hickey (nee Jeffery).
Karl was the beloved husband of the late Jean Pollitt Hickey of 56 years; loving father of Mary Ann, William, Linda Jean, and Karlton (Jr.) Hickey; and devoted grandfather of Elisabeth and Karlton (II).
Karl graduated from Cornell University where he earned his Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree in 1944. Following his graduation, he joined the Atlantic Refining Company at its Philadelphia Refinery. He retired after 36 years of service in 1980 from the ARCO Chemical Company. He loved golf, yard work, traveling, and most of all his family. He will be greatly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Tuesday, February 13, 2018, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Pius X Church,220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA 19008, followed by his Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM. Interment at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, PA. Following the interment a luncheon reception will be held at Anthony's at the Paxon Hollow Country Club. Directions will be provided at the interment.
