Kathleen Lynn Arvanites

Kathleen Lynn Arvanites, 39, of West Chester, PA, passed away February 18, 2024 of a severe medical illness.

Born December 18, 1984 in Drexel Hill, PA, she was the loving daughter of Steven and Linda (nee Hazzard) McKenzie. In addition to her parents, Kate is survived by her devoted husband, Andrew and daughter, Keeley. She is also survived by her brothers: Jim (Laura nee Hibbs) and Mike (Allison nee Stoklosa); in-laws Debra and Tom Arvanites and sister-in-law, Lauren (Adam). She was beloved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. 

Kate attended Merion Mercy Academy, Boston College (BEd, MEd), and West Chester University (MEd). She served as a Spanish teacher in the Kennett Consolidated School District for 15 and a half years. 

Kate enjoyed swimming, lifeguarding, Zumba dance, and listening to music. She was passionate about teaching and learning. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and with their beloved dog, Pebble. She will be dearly missed. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, February 23, 2024 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by her Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
