Kathleen Covello

Kathleen A. Covello (nee Hayes), age 83, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on February 16, 2015. Born in Corona, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Hayes (nee MacDonald). After her children were grown, Kathleen enjoyed a successful career in human resources.



She is survived by her children Maryann (the late Gilbert) Bastian, Jamie Covello, Kim (David) Della Porta, James Covello, and Tom (Diane) Covello, her 10 grandchildren, her foster granddaughter, her foster great-granddaughter, her siblings Mary (Larry) Slater, Joy (the late Dario) Puerto and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her sister Thomasene (John) Ferruolo.



Kathleen was a true renaissance woman and an avid environmentalist. She shared her passion for the beauty of nature and her love of art with family and friends, summering on the beaches of Avalon, NJ and later living in the Green Mountains of Vermont, where she enjoyed camping, hiking, and skiing.
