Kathleen Cromwell

Kathleen Ann Cromwell died peacefully on the morning of May 8, 2015. Born to John and Dolores Collins in Cincinnati, OH on October 11, 1940. She grew up wanting to be a teacher and to have 10 boys. She met Russell Oliver Cromwell at Coney Island Park in OH. They enjoyed 52-1/2 married years.
Along the way they lived in 6 Mid-Atlantic States, where Kathleen raised their 5 daughters and she taught, established Pre-K and Kindergarten programs, and worked as a Director at the Children's Garden of Wayne. Kathleen and Russell retired from Wayne to Clearwater Beach, FL.
Kathleen loved her family, her 12 grandchildren, and every child her life touched. She loved her Catholic faith. She expressed a joy for living and had no fear of death. She was kind, sweet, and gracious to everyone she ever met.
She is survived by her husband, Russell Cromwell, her daughters and their husbands: Jennifer and Dwight Edwards, Stephanie and Thomas Buzzell, Leslie and Frank Sampson, Elizabeth and James Austin, and Emily and Brian Keys, and her sister Dorothy Jones.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Saturday, May 23, 2015 10:00-10:25 AM St. Katharine of Siena Church, Lancaster and Aberdeen Avenues, Wayne, PA followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103 would be appreciated.
