Kathleen A. Harniman

Kathleen Ann Harniman, 80, of Glen Mills, PA, formerly of Calbash, NC, passed away peacefully March 27, 2024. 
 
Born November 9, 1943 in Sufferen, NY, she was a daughter of the late Daniel H. and Elizabeth (nee Dagenais) Whitaker. 

Kathy and her husband Bill spent their retirement years in Calabash, NC, where they happily lived on a golf course for 15 years with their Westy, Molly. 
 
Kathy was a lover of art. She often sketched, worked with pastels, and different styles of painting. Kathy also loved to quilt, as she was a  member of a quilting group for many years. When not creating art or golfing, she could be found happily reading a book. 
 
Kathleen was the beloved wife of 54 years of the late John William Harniman; loving mother of Kara Harniman, Jennifer Harniman-Crangle (Rick) and John D. Harniman; adoring grandmother of Sarah, Rebecca, Jamie and Maddy; proud great grandmother of Atalaya, Lorelei, and Haven; and dear sister of Jane Whitaker and brother of Dan Whitaker.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, Thursday, April 4, 2024 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 15 E. Pleasant Grove Rd, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private at Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery, NY.
