Kathleen E. Smith, age 78, of Newtown Square, PA, passed away on December 22, 2018.
Born in Kilmovee, County Mayo Ireland she was the daughter of the late John Michael and Mary (nee Shields) Frain.
Kathleen enjoyed bowling, the Jersey Shore, reading, Irish Dances, and spending time with her family.
Kathleen was the beloved wife of the late Thomas P. Smith; loving mother of Thomas P. Smith (Denise), John K. Smith (Carolyn), Peter G. Smith (Regina), Brendan J. Smith (Doris), and Brian M. Smith (Victoria); caring sister of Mary Costello, Sister Mary Lucy (LSP), Sister Catherine (LSP) and Winnie Chadwick. She is also survived by her grandchildren Sean, Matthew, Tara, Megan, Kevin, Samantha, Eamon, Liam, Kaitlyn, Brenna, Emma, Andrew, Tommy, and Abby; her great-grandson Paxton; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Bridget Metzler, Michael Frain and Peter Frain.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass Saturday, December 29, 2018, 12:00 PM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, 610-356-1613. Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to Little Sisters of the Poor, 5300 Chester Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19143 would be appreciated.
