Kathlene Allen

Kathlene M. "Katei" Allen, age 68, of Wayne, PA, formerly of Berwyn, PA, passed away on September 18, 2014. Born in West Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late James Lane and Kathryn Hollich (nee MacNamara). She attended St. Katharine of Siena High School. She was employed as a Medical Coder for Jefferson Health Systems and Trans Care in Paoli, PA for 15 years. She retired in 2012.



Katei was an avid reader who would usually be reading at least three books at one time. She loved listening to all types of music. She also enjoyed cooking, scrapbooking and crocheting. She especially loved going to the beach. Katei donated to many charities, including the Veterans and Animal Rescues.



Katei is survived by her husband James J. "Bud" Allen, her children Kimberly-Anne, Steven M. (Margit), Jennifer M. Hiser (Roy, Jr.) and Sean M. Allen, her grandsons Sebastian and Christopher Allen and her brother Robert Lane. She was predeceased by her sister.



Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Wednesday, September 24, 2014 9:30-10:45 AM St. Katharine of Siena Church, Lancaster and Aberdeen Avenue, Wayne, PA followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment is private. There will be a luncheon to follow mass at Landmark Americana 629 W. Lancaster Ave. Wayne, PA
