Kathryn B. “Bert” Gentile (née Constant), age 83, of West Chester, PA, formerly of both Morton and Ridley Park, PA, passed away on January 31, 2024.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Kathryn (née Koch) Constant.
Bert was a graduate of Ridley High School and served as Treasurer for the Ridley High Class of 1958. She worked as a longtime Realtor in Delaware County. Bert was an amazing cook and baker, especially known for her cream puffs and chocolate chip cookies! Bert was a wonderful mom to five children, and will be missed greatly by all her family and dear friends.
Bert was the beloved wife of the late Richard A. Gentile, Sr.; the loving mother of Kathryn E. Kelbaugh (David), Suzanne D. O’Neill (Richard), Richard A. Gentile Jr., (Lisa), Stephen A. Gentile (Carolyn), and Matthew J. Gentile (Robin). She was the devoted grandmother of David James (Nicola), Tyler, Richard, Margaret, Daniel, Caleb, Sarah, Stephen, Elizabeth, Ashleigh (George), Kathryn, and Matthew; and the caring great-grandmother of Scarlett. Bert was predeceased by her dear brothers, Alexander Constant (Judy) and Edward Constant (the late Irene).
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing, Monday, February 5, 2024, 10:00 to 11:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, 610-353-6300, followed by her Funeral Service, 11:00 AM. Interment SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
