Kathryn (Kathleen) E. Stanzione, 88, of West Chester, PA, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2024.
Born December 11, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late James and Kathryn (nee Reagan) Campbell. She is a 1953 graduate of St. Leonard’s Academy.
Kathryn met the love of her life, Frank C. Stanzione in 1954. They were married in 1957 and originally settled in Philadelphia but as their family expanded they moved to Briarcliff where they spent many wonderful years. Eventually they settled in West Chester where they have spent the last 53 years.
It is hard to put into words what Kathleen meant to all who knew her. She was a devoted wife who shared many wonderful memories over her 67 years of marriage with Frank. She was a kind and loving mother. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren adored her as much as she adored them. She was also a caring daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Her faith was important to her and shown through the way she lived her life. She was extremely generous and selfless with her time and resources. We will all miss her dry wit and unconditional love.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her children - James Stanzione (Sandra), John J. Stanzione (Robin), Francis Stanzione, Ken Stanzione (Mary), and Karen Conte (John); adoring grandmother of Natalie Wallace (Jerry), Angela Carmona (Jorge), Emily Katz (LJ), Nicholas Stanzione (Taylor), Paul Stanzione, Cristina Stanzione, Craig O’Donnell, Kaitlin Herbert (Brendan Gibbs), Molly Herbert, Joseph Conte, Jake Conte, Johnny Conte and great-grandmother of 5 (with one on the way). She is also survived by many treasured nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and sisters, Mary McCusker and Peg Keane.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m on Wednesday May 8, 2024 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 15 E. Pleasant Grove Road, West Chester, PA 19382. Interment will be at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
