Kenneth A. Fegley, 94, of West Brandywine, PA passed away on January 15, 2018.



Born in Mont Clare, PA in 1923, Kenneth was the son of the late Henry S. and Bertha (Malone) Fegley.



He served honorably in the US Navy during World War II.



Kenneth earned his Bachelor Degree in 1947, his Master's in 1950 and his Ph.D. in 1955 all in Electrical Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. He was a Professor at the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Pennsylvania for 45 years, served as Chairman of the Department of Systems Engineering and was named Joseph Moore Professor of Systems. He was an Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers Fellow and past chairman of the Philadelphia section of the IEEE.



He was a member of Paoli Presbyterian Church for 60 years. He was an Eagle Scout, Scoutmaster and a lifetime supporter of the Scouting movement of Chester County. His passion for the outdoors never faded.



Beloved husband of the late Virginia W. Fegley (nee Weaver); loving father of Alan D. Fegley (Claire), John D. Fegley, and Paul A. Fegley (Gail); devoted grandfather of Devon Adams (Douglas), Erin Kaplan (Ari), and David Fegley; adoring great-grandfather of Avery and Grayson Adams and Chase Kaplan. He was predeceased by his siblings; Henry Fegley Jr., Marian Fegley and Albert Fegley.



Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service 11:00 AM Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Paoli Presbyterian Church, 225 South Valley Rd, Paoli, PA 19301. A private interment at the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden will take place at a later date.



In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Horseshoe Scout Reservation Alumni Assoc., 504 S. Concord Rd, West Chester, PA 19382.
