Kenneth L. Gillem, age 94, of West Chester, PA, passed away on May 18, 2014. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Charles J. and Jean Gillem (nee Schmidt). He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was employed as a Production Engineer in the Communications industry.
His interests included organs, organ music, automobiles and tennis. During World War II, he was a Chaplain's Assistant playing the organ for services. He was a life member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 63 years Jane M. Gillem (nee Mosbruger), their children Anne Barrie, James (Eunice), Charles (Tracy) and Thomas (Kathy) Gillem, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Douglas Gillem.
