Kenneth M. Krenicky

July 22, 1952 — July 12, 2023

Kenneth Krenicky, 70, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania passed away on July 12, 2023.

Kenneth was born on July 22, 1952 to the late Michael and Florence Krenicky (nee Medvick) in Homestead, Pennsylvania.  Kenneth graduated from West Mifflin High School and the University of Pittsburgh where he met the love of his life Susan who he married in 1977.  He was also a proud member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.  Kenneth then graduated from Temple University School of Law (Beasley) where he served as the President of the class of 1978.  Over his career Kenneth worked in risk management leading the Risk Management Departments in large multi-national corporations.   He was a frequent speaker at global forums on emerging risk management and crisis management issues.

As anyone who met Ken can attest, Ken was a warm and welcoming person who enjoyed having a great time with friends and family.  He loved traveling, hosting parties, watching Phillies baseball and his alma mater Pitt Panthers, and keeping up with current events.  He enjoyed attending Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church in Philadelphia for over 40 years, where he served as an Usher.  He also enjoyed giving back to the community.  While raising his family in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania Ken served on the boards of the Phoenixville Community Education Foundation, the Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Phoenixville Hospital, Phoenixville YMCA, St. Cyril and Methodius Byzantine Catholic Seminary, and the Delaware County Federation of Senior Centers.

In his final years, Ken enjoyed his retirement in Philadelphia, and getting to spend time with his beloved grandchildren.   He volunteered in the kitchen for the Bethesda Project shelter.  He is survived by his wife of 46 years Susan (Nee McGrath), children Karleen Krenicky (Robert Bray) of Media, Pennsylvania, Michael Krenicky and Patrick Krenicky of Philadelphia, and grandchildren Thomas and Molly Bray.  He is also survived by his sister Joyce Hayes (Odus) of Greenbrae, California, brothers in law, Thomas McGrath and Richard Berard, sister in law, Jean McGrath, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him dearly.
